Hi, I was thinking of buying Avios since they are available on 50% discount but it seems like I can only buy them if I already have travelled through Iberia or have atleast 1 mile. Can any one here gift me one avios? Or is there any other way to collect them without flying?

You could try converting one from credit cards or hotel (e.g. Marriott) points.
There’s also the possibility to earn miles by shopping. But I’m not sure how long it needs for them to post:

Do you have a certain use in mind for the avios after you bought them? We usually recommend not buying any miles you don’t plan to use immediately
